Semicolon Sunday’s Mission
In 2017, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention reports that 47,173 people died by suicide in the United States
Christianity Today estimates that during that same time, the U.S. had over 380,000 churches.
What would happen if just ¼ of our churches were standing by, ready to offer hope and healing to people battling with thoughts of suicide? What would happen if more of our churches were standing by as redemptive communities for those who are hurting?
Semicolon Sunday events are designed to help every church to become equipped to offer practical hope and healing to people who have been impacted by suicide. Our goal is to see at least 1,000 churches in the next 10 years become more redemptive communities.
